It goes without saying that I’ll be at Pittsburgh ComicCon this weekend – so instead, I’m going to do something nice for an IHL fan today. Friend and IHL Fan, Lady Rose is doing something really fantastic and I thought it would be nice to spread the word. Please if you can, either give a little or spread the word further. See ya in PBurgh – Jamie

Skeleton Crew is a Record Label / Clothing Company / Book Publisher. Owned by Frank Iero, one of the guitarists for the rock band My Chemical Romance, from New Jersey. Some of you may or may not know of them.

S//C has many street teams all over the world to promote its artists. One of the other activities our street teams and other S//C members do is work to help the community and to take steps toward making the world a better place. Recently we setup support for the ASPCA at a music festival in Irvine Ca, called Bamboozle Left. There, we helped to gather over 400 signatures in the Fight Against Animal Cruelty and gave out ASPCA bracelets which the ASPCA sent us to give out while collecting names. Skeleton Crew will have a tent at Bamboozle Right (Meadowlands Sports Complex, May 3rd and 4th). We will be collecting signatures there as well.

Despite advancements made in the treatment and prevention of HIV, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that the overall rate of infection continues to rise. Today, there is still no vaccine in sight and vital government funds face the threat of being redirected. This year, Skeleton Crew has decided to form a team for AIDS Walk New York to help those in our community struggling with HIV/AIDS.

If you would like to sponsor a team member or simply just help by donating to the cause we are fighting for you can use the link below to donate / sponsor our efforts:

AIDS Walk New York is a 10 kilometer walkathon that benefits the Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC), in addition to several other local AIDS service organizations. For the past 25 years, GMHC has been dedicated to providing equal access to healthcare, prevention education, and advocacy to their clients, regardless of ability to pay.

Our team has set a goal of raising $1,000.00.
