It was so hard for me to not complete that last panel with further Doge memes.. seriously. The fact is that it doesn’t make sense given the timeframe of this story. It is sort of happening in a bubble of time around the year 2000.. so adding ‘Such MMO’ or something idiotic there felt right, but I knew it was wrong.
Anyway.. that last panel took me forever, and I’m so stupid proud of it. Part of my process is more or less the Illustrator version of lightboxing.. it isn’t exactly tracing, but it isn’t exactly drawing. This piece though felt much more me organically creating, which is nice.. makes me feel I’m kinda good at what I do, which feels nice after a decade of doing it.
Don’t think I didn’t notice those neon green lines starting in the last panel… 😉
