Hatton – you have some splainin’ to do.

I do.

I’m sorry.

A long time ago, I would say that the key to having a webcomic is consistency. That is still good advice. It’s still really the best advice. When you don’t update, your fans forget. When you don’t update, time passes. Fans that only read occasionally might not check back… especially when you’ve been gone for a month.

Why? Well – a lot of reasons, and a shitton more excuses.

For the first time in a very long time, life got in the way of being productive here. I wish I could give you a better answer, and IHL has always been my anchor – and I’m not abandoning it (Promise) – but the last few weeks I just needed a break, and I wasn’t very good about scheduling it.

I shouldn’t have done that to you guys… but I hope you get it, or at least can sympathize that every once in awhile, when you do something for as long as I’ve been doing this, you get hit in the face with the need to stop and reassess where you are at.

I have fun stuff to talk about and life stuff and all that, but it will wait til next update (which is already done by the way) and for now I just want to give one shout out to IKASUCON for having me this past weekend and all the wonderful new friends I made. You guys are, in part, the reason that this comic became my #1 priority to handle when I got home… I needed to recharge my creative batteries, and like the imagination vampire I am – you guys rebooted me. That’s like 5 metaphors at once. Roll with it.

I’ll see you Sunday – Promise.

PS – There has been a vicious rumor that some people are getting spyware warnings when they go to IHL. I did spend some time going and updating all the security settings and working on that. If you get that, please let me know immediately.
