So I wasn’t going to post til Tuesday… figured Sunday, Tuesday, Weds, Thurs, Fri gives the five day week.. but eh, what the hell. More comics = more gooder for you guys. I might skip Thursday now instead. We’ll see how the buffer of strips looks by then.

So let me tell you all about the NEW YORK COMICCON!

I was working for a video game company called CodeMasters and demo’ing their new Wii title that’s coming out this summer. I can’t deny that I thought it would be a cakewalk job of stanidng there and playing a video game all weekend. Sadly, not all is as appears. Since the game isn’t due til this summer, it’s not finished yet. So what I was playing was a demo of levels that were mostly completed. The same ones. Over and over. Woooha – let me tell you that it was money well earned. Video games as a job. Nuts.

That night though is where it gets fun. I was going to be staying with friend Bree of Sex Drugs & June Cleaver – but she was busy getting stuff together for the following day’s show. So I headed through midtown, had myself a small bite to eat and met up with her at a cheap boozed hipster bar. Met up with a friend of hers and drank the night away. It was fantastic hanging out and I can’t thank her enough for the hospitality. Her cat Schroedinger kinda despised that I invaded his living quarters, but I’m sure he’s over it by now.

Part of me loves NY. It’s huge. It’s epic. It’s everything that urban post apocalyptic future is about.

It’s also mindbogglingly humbling in that whole ‘I’m a tiny dot in this mega anthill’. Part of me worships it, part of me is scared to death of it.

Ah well, cheap hipster booze and a late night piroghi (sp) dinner made it all worth while.

See you tomorrow!
